Emily A. Mattingly DDS joined the McCoy and Samples Dental Clinic team in 2012. Originally from Chillicothe, Missouri, Dr. Mattingly is a fourth generation dentist. She is the daughter of Dr. Rolfe McCoy and granddaughter of Dr. Chad McCoy. Her great-grandfather was a practicing dentist in Albany, Missouri. Dr. Mattingly graduated from Chillicothe High School in 2005. In 2008, she graduated cum lade with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from the University of Missouri – Kansas City and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from UMKC School of Dentistry in 2012. Dr. Mattingly's commitment to her profession is evident in every aspect of her practice.
Dedicated to advancing the field of dentistry, Dr. Mattingly actively engages in organized dentistry. Currently, she serves on the ADA's Council on Access and Prevention and the Missouri Dental Association's Board of Trustees. She has served as a Delegate, Alternate delegate, and Committee Member of the ADA and MDA House of Delegates. She served as Vice Chair and Chair of ADA's New Dentist Committee in 2019 and 2020. She also served as Vice Chair of the MDA New Dentist Committee in 2018. In addition to this, she serves on the Education Committee for the MDA and has been an active Action Team Leader at both National and State Lobby days for the past 9 years. Locally, Dr. Mattingly is involved in the St. Columban Catholic Church, Rotary, PEO, and Tria.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Mattingly finds joy in family life with her husband, Dr. David Mattingly, and their three children, Elliott, Elyse, and Adah Pearl. Their shared passions for travel, outdoor adventures, and quality time with loved ones enrich their lives immeasurably. Dr. Mattingly's profound connection to her hometown of Chillicothe fuels her enthusiasm for providing exceptional dental care to her community and beyond, embodying a heartfelt commitment to her roots and the well-being of those she serves.
